Early Pregnancy

Many people are unaware that they can qualify for WIC as soon as they find out they are pregnant. Help increase awareness that pregnant individuals can receive the health and nutrition benefits of WIC early in their pregnancy and beyond. Messaging also touches on WIC’s modern and flexible services such as remote appointments, eWIC, and more.

Participating in SNAP, TANF or Medicaid is an Easy Way to Qualify for WIC

Pregnant or breastfeeding individuals and children under age five who receive SNAP, TANF, or Medicaid can automatically qualify for WIC. This “adjunctive eligibility” makes it easier for households already enrolled in other assistance programs to access WIC benefits without having to provide additional income verification.
