The U.S. Department of Agriculture has approved online purchasing with SNAP benefits at select retailers in New York State (click to view list).
SNAP participants can select and purchase eligible grocery items online, but cannot use their benefits to pay for service fees or delivery charges. Shoppers should check their preferred retailer’s website for details about online shopping with SNAP benefits.
Online purchasing improves food access for many, including working families, caretakers, individuals who live far from grocery stores, and those who are unable to shop on their own due to a disability or lack of transportation.
This expansion of services is part of a SNAP Online Purchasing Pilot, which began in 2019. Please check back here for updates relevant to New York State and newly approved retailers.
