We applaud state investment in the Nutrition Outreach and Education Program (NOEP) and other critical anti-hunger programs. Still, additional funding is needed to support food security for all New Yorkers.

In 2023, NOEP helped 32,506 households successfully apply for SNAP benefits, WIC clinics received 9,000 referrals, and The Healthy School Meals for All NY Kids Coalition was co-led with more than 280 organizations leading in a $134.6M investment in last year’s state budget to expand free school meals.
