Application for Community and Delivered Meal sites to accept SNAP as a Donation

Older Adults participating in SNAP can use their SNAP benefits to make a voluntary contribution toward home delivered and community meals.  This may help seniors who feel uncomfortable accepting free meals.  Community and delivered meal programs must apply to be a SNAP vendor through the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) in order to accept SNAP benefits from their participants.

For more information about applying see the attached Meal Service Application or call the USDA SNAP Retailer Service Center at 1-877-823-4369.  It is important to note that meal services are eligible for free EBT equipement when accepting SNAP.
