This interactive session will focus on year-round nutrition opportunities for communities and systems. Participants will visit three roundtables for 20 minutes each, to learn about state and local strategies to maximize summer and afterschool nutrition programs in their community. State agency representatives, school food directors, and nutrition program sponsors will share tried-and-true methods for overcoming barriers to expansion and recruiting volunteers and youth to be involved with mobile meal routes. They will also offer details on successful partnerships, the use of technology to improve tracking and increase service, and more.
