Meals for adults age 60 and older can be provided through the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) at community-based centers that provide services in a group setting outside of the participant’s home.

CACFP is a federally-funded entitlement program providing reimbursement for meals and snacks served by participating nonresidential family day care home providers and child and adult day care centers. In New York State, this program is administered by the NYS Department of Health.

Agencies and programs may apply for CACFP at any time of the year. For more information or to apply, visit the CACFP website or call 1-800-942-3858.
